StartUp AsiaBerlin in an Event Craze

The Asia-Pacific Weeks Berlin (APW) are just around the corner and we are beyond excited for this 20 year anniversary!

You can expect a comprehensive program dedicated to the Asia-Europe Dialogue on Digitalization. Exploring the 4th industrial revolution and its future impact on economies and society is crucial for governments and the civil society worldwide. Look forward to meeting experts from the fast-growing and high-tech affine regions of Asia-Pacific who come to discuss their perspectives with local representatives.

We are happy to announce that a special focus of 2017 will be on our partner cities Manila, Jakarta and Bangalore. This means StartUp AsiaBerlin will also be present with various event formats to which we are happy to invite you to, if you are around!

First off, we have teamed up with Global Innovation Gathering for a meetup at re:publica. Join us on May 10th. The topic will be "Fostering Ecosystems through Cooperation & Cultural Exchange". Find more information here and feel free to join us if you are at re:publica.

Furthermore, we are hosting a session on May 17th from 11:45 AM until 1 PM during the Connecting Startup Cities Conference. Here is all about it:

APW / CSC Conference: Supporting market entry between Berlin and Asia: Startup cooperation platforms between Berlin and Bangalore, Jakarta, Manila and Shanghai

Supporting market entry between Berlin and Asia:

Startup cooperation platforms between Berlin and Bangalore, Jakarta, Manila and Shanghai Berlin’s fast-growing startup scene is going more and more international. To facilitate the market entry into Asia, Berlin has implemented two programs that strengthen the cooperation between the German capital and startup hubs in Asia: With the Start Alliance, Berlin invites startups from Shanghai to experience this city and vice versa Berlin startups get the chance to explore the business location Shanghai. StartUp AsiaBerlin enables communication and cooperation between Berlin, Manila, Jakarta and Bangalore.

Within this event, startups from Berlin and Asia get an overview about the benefits that are offered by the two programs. After short introductory presentations, the program conductors, former participants and cooperation partners will share their insights with the audience. This event will be jointly hosted by Berlin Partner for Business and Technology and Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises.

You can register for this session here. Just select "May 17-19: Connecting Startup Cities Conference", then click on "Internationalization" and follow the registration process from there.

We look forward to seeing you all very soon!
