FEBI is back in 2020!
We are excited to announce that the project ‘Female Entrepreneurship in Berlin and India (FEBI)’ has been renewed for 2020-21.It is funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the Berlin Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises, in the framework of StartUp AsiaBerlin (SUAB).
The Berlin Senator for Economics, Ramona Pop, stated that “With this project, we are further boosting the international network between Berlin and India with a focus on female founders. For some years, we have been promoting female entrepreneurship and helping women to start and work in the digital, tech and media industries. We want to further expand these activities and make them sustainable in the long term.”
The aim of the project is to strengthen networks of women-led companies in Berlin and India by exchanging experiences and to further develop programmes to support female founders. German and Indian founders, as well as supporting institutions (accelerators, incubators, non-governmental organizations), will be invited to take part in the delegation trips to India and Berlin (in the context of the Asia-Pacific Week 2020 in June) and a Program Designers’ Lab, a capacity-building program aiming to increase the number of women-led businesses in the accelerator cohorts.
The project is funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) in the framework of the German Government and Federal State Programme (BLP) and the Berlin Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises, in the framework of StartUp AsiaBerlin (SUAB). It runs in cooperation with the GIZ project “Economic Empowerment of Women Entrepreneurs and Startups by Women” in India, the GIZ Regional Office in Berlin, and enpact e.V.
